Ferdinando Borletti (1888-1977) is the last of seven siblings, and co-founder of “la Rinascante” and “Magazzini Standa” department stores. In 1932, in order to diversify his portfolio assets, he acquires an estate called Tenuta Ca’Negra from a noble Venetian family, the baron Franchetti. The son Mario (1920-1988),engineer and navy officer during the Second World War, modernizes and expands the estate by introducing cattle breeding in barns with “greed” floor. Since then, Tenuta Ca’Negra has always been recognized as a “model farm”. Stefano (1944 ), the first son of Mario, inherits a complicated situation in terms of market and partners. He restores the estate and reorganizes the staff by diminishing the risks of conventional cattle breeding and by increasing the quality of the offered products.
Nowadays, Stefano’s two sons, Ferdinando and Andrea, have been integrated into the family business at operating speed, bringing on news idea which will contribute to the continuous development of the company.
